PRF Bio Filler
Natural rejuvenation supported by your body’s own platelet-rich fibrin.
Treatment Overview
What Is PRF Bio Filler?
PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is prepared from a small sample of your own blood and contains platelets, fibrin, and growth-factor-rich components. It is injected into targeted areas to support the body’s natural tissue-rejuvenation process.
PRF treatments are personalized based on the treatment area and the patient’s individual goals. Results are not immediate. Improvement generally develops gradually over the following weeks and varies by patient and treatment area.
Before Your Appointment
Before Your PRF Treatment
Hydration & Nutrition
- Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your appointment. Being well hydrated can make the blood draw easier.
- Eat a normal, healthy meal before your appointment unless your provider gives you different instructions.
- When possible, avoid alcohol for approximately 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising.
Tell Your Provider
- Tell your provider about all prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, supplements, allergies, and recent illnesses.
- Tell your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Inform your provider if you have an active infection, fever, rash, open wound, or skin infection near the treatment area.
- Do not stop aspirin, blood thinners, anti-inflammatory medications, or any medically necessary medication unless the prescribing clinician specifically instructs you to do so.
Day of Treatment
- Arrive with clean skin in the treatment area.
- Avoid makeup, lotion, and other topical products on the treatment area when possible.
What’s Normal
What to Expect After PRF
The following reactions are common and generally temporary:
- Mild redness
- Swelling
- Tenderness
- Bruising
- A feeling of fullness at the injection sites
- Small bumps or temporary unevenness where PRF was placed
Small bumps or unevenness typically settle as the swelling improves.
Results are not immediate. PRF works with your body’s natural healing response, so improvement generally develops gradually over the following weeks.
Your Elevate Evansville provider may recommend a series of treatments and future maintenance based on the treatment area and your individual goals.

Treated Area
- Do not rub, massage, press, or manipulate the treated area unless your Elevate Evansville provider specifically instructs you to do so.
- Keep the treated area clean.
- Avoid applying makeup directly to the injection sites until later the same day or until the tiny needle openings have closed.
Activity & Heat
- Avoid strenuous exercise for approximately 24 hours.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and excessive heat for approximately 24 hours.
- When possible, avoid alcohol for approximately 24 hours after treatment because it may increase bruising or swelling.
Skin Care & Sun
- Use gentle skincare products.
- Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, and other potentially irritating products on the treated area until tenderness or irritation has resolved.
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
- Protect the treated skin from excessive sun exposure.
Medications & Comfort
- For discomfort, follow your Elevate Evansville provider's recommendations.
- Do not begin or stop medications solely because of PRF treatment without first discussing it with the appropriate clinician.
